DESIGN STATEMENT:
As a full service firm THE MONTORO ARCHITECTURAL GROUP, PC
performs architectural, structural engineering and design services for
our clientele working closely with respected engineering consltant firms,
a list of which is attached herein. We employ a full time staff of project
architects, job captains, intermediate and senior draftpersons and are
fully CAD (computer aided design) oriented. We have the computer
capabilities to produce in house promotional brochures/visual materials
for public distribution and presentation. Being fully CAD operative we
have the capabilities to make alsmost instantaneous changes to the
plans during the design process by designing in "core" and "educational
module blocks" which can be manipulated easily on the computer and
enable multiple plan generation for various schemes/layouts. We are
fully compatible with our engineering disciplines utilizing Auto CAD and
via Internet can interface continuously so coordination on a daily basis
is possbile and usually the case.
As architects for the Holmdel, Little Falls, Nutley, and numerous
other BOards programming/design of various classroom
additions/renovations, we have accomplished for 8,000 sq. ft. additions
complete approvals in 5 months from Ed Specs to final construction
document approval. By analyzing existing school sites for possible
alterations/additions/facilities upgrades, a facilities needs assessment
report can be established. As a prelude to construction we review the
Districts Uniplan and Demographic Reports and research all of the
District's schools to become familiar with many of the code
deficiencies/needs. We are presently working on sevral change of use
solutions for various district's long term crisis/future needs. As architects
we believe in maximum utilization of space as each square foot
underutilized necessitates new being built at the cost of $130 - $150
per square foot. When designing, every inch of space is used and
configured to ascertain a compact/cost effective design. Ingenuity in the
re-design of a recently completed audio-visual room enabled a more
useful layout to be accomplished in lieu of just doing what was
provided. We seek to ask the questions and what will work better, as
we feel that it is our job. If we don't suggest it we wouldn't be providing
the full service. THat is what makes THE MONTORO ARCHITECTURAL
GROUP'S service "client orientated", we provide for the best design, not
just the easiest, as a hands on pen and ink solution to the clients needs.
We have been working with Boards of Education as early as 1978
and feel confident not only working with the State Department of
Educational Facilities Planning (NJDEFP) but also with your staff in each
phase of the project as we have on the recent projects with numerous
districts.
I personally will handle your project including bidding phase
services thru the construction contrat administration right out into the
field where I will administer the contracts, hold the job meetings, review
applications for payment and perform the contract closeout
requirements to meet the Boards criteria/get the job done.
We look forward to bringing you the sme quality service we have
proven to other districts on the intricate/detailed projects we have
accomplished on budget, on time, and most importantly ou our
effort/follow-up.
